Welcome to the website of Bangladesh University of
Professionals (BUP). BUP is one of the leading public universities established
on June 5, 2008 with it’s motto "Excellence Through Knowledge". BUP is
established in a lush green landscape with own unique features located away
from busy life of metropolitan city. The university provides a tranquil,
pollution free, secured campus life, with uninterrupted congenial academic
atmosphere. BUP welcomes students who will dedicate their attention and devotion
to serious academic pursuit to build up better tomorrow for the nation. We are
committed to providing high quality education in attaining meaningful benefits
for the students. In addition to its fifty-six well reputed affiliated colleges
and institutes, the university has five faculties such as Faculty of Business
Studies (FBS), Faculty of Security and Strategic Studies (FSSS), Faculty of
Arts and Social Sciences (FASS), Faculty of Science & Technology (FST), and
Faculty of Medical Studies (FMS). BUP has already commenced MPhil and Doctoral
programmes conducted under Center for Higher Studies and Research (CHSR) while
its Centre for Modern Language (CML) launched certificate courses in Arabic,
Chinese, Turkish, Burmese and French language. BUP takes the opportunity of
blending civil and armed forces’ professionals and students with diversified
skills, exposure, experience, and outlook which is very extra-ordinary.
BUP
intends to create conducive environment for the students, scholars,
professionals, and the faculties for enkindling quest for knowledge among them
to excel in their fields of activities, studies, training, and research. To
produce worthy professionals and good citizens, BUP pursues on instilling human values, virtues, patriotism,
ethics and discipline in thoughts and deeds. These are but a few of the
defining hallmark features of BUP that distinguish it from other universities
of the country.
Since
building professionalism among students is its highest priority, BUP inculcates
the spirit of innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship for promoting
qualitative leadership in all fields of national life, be it industrial,
societal, academic, military or elsewhere.
The
vision of BUP is to emerge as a well ranked university for both professionals
and general students through need-based education and research with global
perspective. The University envisages its objective, where it finds its
responsibility of graduating intellectually enlightened, technologically
advanced, academically competent, ideologically liberal, and inspiringly
research-oriented resourceful citizens who are to take challenges of the future
and at the same time to preserve, lead, and promote the virtues of our great nation.
Here,
I would like to remember our founders and predecessors with gratitude for their
noble vision and inexorable dedication in setting BUP on a solid foundation. We
also appreciate the parents/guardians for having trust and confidence on BUP to
train up and educate their children and wards.
I
welcome everybody to explore the opportunities available at BUP website. BUP is
also looking forward to having more academic partnership with well ranked and
reputed International and National Universities in the common ground of
improving course curriculum and research work in future days to come. Any
