Faculty of Security & Strategic Studies (FSSS) started its journey from mid- 2013. Brig Gen Emran Ahmed Chowdhury, ndc, psc is the present Dean of the faculty. By its syllabus & curriculum the faculty covers four departments namely Department of International Relations (IR), Department of Law, Department of Mass Communication & Journalism (MC&J) and Department of Peace  Conflict & Human Rights (PCHR) . Currently 45 faculty members and 1210 students are an inseparable part of this faculty. Four undergraduate programmes under the department of IR, LAW, MC&J, PCHR and three regular masters’ programmes under the department of IR , LAW and MC&J are going on. Additionally, the Department of Peace, Conflict & Human Rights (PCHR) & the Department of Law are offering self-financed professional masters’ programmes respectively. Faculty of Security & Strategic Studies (FSSS) is also running the Global Affairs Council, Quizzers Club, Law & Moot Court Club, Film Club, and Photography Society of BUP. Students of FSSS are developing themselves through active participation in co-curricular & extra-curricular activities both at national and international platforms.
