Introduction:

Centre for Modern Language was established in 2011 as Language Centre under Faculty of Arts and Social Science. In 2015 it renamed and started its journey as separate centre named “Centre for Modern Languages”. Centre for Modern Languages (CML) of BUP is one of the prominent language learning centre in the country. The main aim of CML is to promote and provide facilities for the study of modern languages. At present CML is conducting following programs:

a.    Foreign language for undergraduate students of BUP.

b.    Various language certificate courses (open to all).


Courses Run by CML:

This centre offers Arabic, Burmese, Chinese, English, French, German, Japanese, Russian and Turkish language courses of Elementary, Level-1 and Diploma category.


Faculty Members:

Courses are conducted by a group of experienced and qualified faculty members. There are Fourteen (14) trained and dedicated adjunct faculties who all are affiliated with the Institute of Modern Language (IML), Alliance Francaise de Dhaka, Confucius Institute and Al-Asr-Institute. Besides, this centre is conducting Turkish Language Course for Bangladesh Army in this semester. CML has established Turkish Language Laboratory for better teaching of Turkish Students.
